Well it doesn't stop fans from making posts. Summer of 2023, Muzzin has 10 no trade list. Be pretty easy for him to avoid a trade by selecting teams with cap "as no trades"

But don't worry, then Leafs (or players) aren't making the trades or signings. The usual horrid post from the author

I'd imagine muzzins would waive the no trade if he wasn't going to return to playing because his injuries are pretty bad, I think he might get bought out as you can see with my transaction, I think maybe 2 other teams picking up some of the salary maybe LA.

The trades are not really the meat of the post, Bunting, Kampf, Holmberg, Kalgren and additions

Why do you feel the need to crap on my post so hard? I see much worst post like Nylander for a draft pick.

Do my post make far too much sense to you?

Calm down with the horrid post comment, just move along I don't need your opinion like that, I know my hockey so you can just relax a bit alright.

I know you have recently joined. But your trades and signings are almost always...poor. No they don't make sense to me or anyone. What's the purpose of trading starting LHD Sandin who is under Leaf control for yards for virtually nothing.
I would recommend you think about cap, term and players values. Thanks for responding, I hope you're being honest in your thoughts. but if I didn't know better, you're just trolling for negative reaction.

Yep, I will move along.....good bye.

Based on transactions I see by I'm sure long time users, I don't think it matters that I just joined. Who would troll on capfriendly for negative responses? Please think over your ideas before posting them friends.

I post for responses, most responses are negative, that's the nature of the internet you have to dig through all of the serial negative posts to find intelligible ones, that's the internet, the constant users are often the most unintelligible but I still stop in to see if there's any discussion worth having. Not trolling about pro hockey trades for reactions lol I don't expect people to have very serious reactions to such things. But yes stay away with all your negativity thank you.

-Trading Ilya Samsonov (.924 SV%, 2.07 GAA in 13 GP) so you can give Erik Kallgren (.896 combined SV% between AHL & NHL this year) 3x$1.6M? Doesn't make a ton of sense to me to begin with, but makes less sense with Chicago being the acquiring team - I don't think they're anywhere near the "giving up picks for veterans" part of the rebuild yet.

-Trading Sandin & Robertson for a pair of 2nds? Not sure what the goal is here as Robertson's cap is able to be buried in the AHL if you don't have a roster spot for him, and Sandin is better & cheaper than Shayne Gostisbehere. Keep Sandin, skip the Ghost signing.

-Clifford isn't worth that to any team, and again: his cap hit is less than $1.15M so he can be buried in the AHL if you don't have a roster spot for him. Worst case someone claims him when you try and pass him through waivers and you get nothing but cap/contract relief - which is still more than he's worth.

-Muzzin's deal is expiring in 23-24, and he's most likely LTIRetired at this point. You've literally spent to the cap in this one, so it's not like clearing LTIR is going to help you build cap space throughout the year; so just keep him and the assets you're giving up, throw him on LTIR, and use that $5.625M in extra space to keep Samsonov maybe? I'd also argue that any team that would be accepting a Muzzin cap dump, if you wanted to go that route, isn't going to quibble about that last $950K so there's no need to retain anything on his deal.

Most of the signings are in the "fine/acceptable" range in terms of salary (maybe a little heavy on the Domi contract) except Evan Rodrigues - he's got 12 points in 23 GP with the Avs after putting up 43 in 82 with the Pens last year, so I think you definitely have to consider him a legit middle-6 guy, and those types of guys don't typically sign as cheap as you have him here (I mean, hell, even with every team capped out he still pulled $2M from the Avs this summer.)

Fair, fair, and more fair

I was hoping someone could clarify if you can keep muzzin on ltir for the whole year again so that clears that up for me I appreciate it, the 950k yeah makes sense but I'd guess every dollar does count I'd suspect buying out a guy worth over 5M looking for help would take a couple teams but in this case it doesn't matter obviously keep him on ltir plus working with the Leafs staff is better than anywhere else as well.

Ok so you don't mind my signings either that's cool.

I don't know if Rodrigues will pull 2M again but I am probably low, I'm always high on Domi I can't help myself I'm think him and Bunting should be very similar.

On samsonov I can't see how a team doesn't offer sheet him and he's not over 3M if Murray has a respectable season I don't know if the Leafs give samsonov 3+M in my opinion if they have kalgren in his young age I think he's a pretty good goalie maybe he's closer to the league minimum not 1.6M regardless of stats he's proven he can be a back-up and stay healthy, I'd think Ilya would want a starter spot in the league somewhere.

As for the trades I just don't want them on the team, I don't see sandin as being as good as ghost, I don't think he's all that good and he's 1.4M his deal doesn't say he's a 3 or 4M dman either but I understand those who like him I think it's a conversation.

Appreciate the response.

Cheers

Either way Tampa still takes the L, the also copied Toronto's colours I mean come on.
