No. No. Absolutely not.

Askarov is Nashville’s future and is performing very well in the AHL. He is still valued as an 11IA pick and Poile loves him. This package wouldn’t be worthy 11OA, much less Nashville’s future stud goalie

How is a 13th OA pick and Dvorak not worth the 11th OA pick in a lesser draft? I get it if you want to keep him but dont come and say this package isnt at least equivalent to 11th OA

Askarov isn't a pick, he's a fully developed goalie

I’m not high on Dvorak at all. My dislike of him probably makes me biased here. He’s a decent 3C, who makes about 1.5m more than he should. I’d just have no interest.

My other issue is that I believe that FLA makes a come back. I think that pick is probably more in the 17-22 range

there is 0 chance the preds move Askarov , especially for a very underwhelming return.
Askarov is considered one of the best if not the best drafted goalie prospect in the entire NHL. Askarov is 20 and just starting his Pro career. Saros has 2 years left on his deal, the timing works out perfectly once Saros deal is done, they can transition to Askarov and not miss a beat having a top flight starting goalie

No room for dvorak and no interest in having to make room for an expensive 3C. He does nothing to address nashvilles issues

Florida making a comeback is extremely unlikely as long as Maurice is the coach. Unless they make a mid season coaching change to someone like, I don’t know, Brunette, the Cats won’t make the playoffs.

That doesn't take away from how bad this trade is though. It's just terrible for Nashville

We’re more likely to trade Saros than Askarov
