Lafreniere & Boeser, neither of whom are know for their defense, playing between a defensive-ish Center who isn’t the type of puck distributor those wingers will succeed with

So after all that “madness” you haven’t really made us better
Not imo anyways
3rd pair is still bad on defense- even worse actually
And the 3rd line seems like just another version of something we need to improve
Lafreniere & Boeser aren’t the right targets for us imo
Maybe Lafreniere- maybe
But then you’d have to find him better & more dependable linemates

Canes aren’t doing this. KK is a perfect fit for their system, they aren’t paying 2 firsts just to bring in Horvat.

You want 2 1sts and a center that's a better fit for a Carolina system to get a guy that can't play the defensive structure the Canes would want? Yeah, Canes tell you to firmly **** off

So Canucks give up Horvat and Boeser to take back a terrible contract in KK, 2 meh players and a late 1st. Not a chance
