a lot more than that with retention. Poulin isn't even playing right so his value is zero. Kapanen is having a terrible year so his value is very low and the 1st the only thing of real value but it's not even enough to get Miller without retention.

It would only be retention this year though since his extension hasn’t kicked in yet

Miller has negative value given his current contract and his level of play. Last thing Hextall and the pens need to do is add a toxic asset.

Van takes that and never looks back…. He might have one of the worst contracts in the NHL.

No he doesn’t. He’s been a beast since joining Canucks. One mediocre start to the year doesn’t tank his value that much. People were saying Pettersson was just as bad at the beginning of last season and now look.

Insiders, both national and canucks have said that they believe Miller is unmovable right now bc of his contract and the canucks would have to add a sweetener for teams to take it on .
Its pretty much negative at this point bc of how bad that contract is .

We definitely don't want Miller, horrible contract and has apparently been a really bad teammate this year

The most toxic player in nhl. The 1st+ would be going with him, while a big dump would have to come back for him also

Pettersson is way younger, way more talented and doesn’t scream at goalies. Two completely different situations.

Why would you give up a 1st+ for his anchor of a contract?

Poulin is still young his value is way more than zero.

Kappi should be no value but your president of hockey operations is Jim Rutherford he would skate through fire on centimeter thick ice just to tie kappi's skates.

We might need to add something else but this is close to a deal Vancouver excepts

He signed a 35 year old Letang for 6 more years. I don't think he is too worried about bad contracts tears of joy

letang won 3 cups with the pens. Not shocking they overpaid him. They don’t owe Miller anything.

Are we all forgetting that Miller was our best player for 3 years straight? You do realize that Miller's attitude has not changed at all since last year. People only now are talking about it because everybody is watching him under a microscope ever since he signed that contract. He has always been a hot head, always had a temper. You know what that was called last year? That was called passion. This year it is toxicity? The only difference is that Miller signed a contract and isn't putting up 100 points. Miller has always been the slam the stick type player. It is really nothing new. This is simply ignorance by everybody

If they are going to cripple their cap by signing guys based on emotional attachment, then you never know. They also traded for Petry for some reason

He had 99 points on a bad team. He benefited tremendously from guys like Pettersson and Hughes who are significantly better than him. Especially given his power play numbers.

God only knows why Hextall did that. I doubt ownership approves this one tho.

Are forgetting how bad Elias Pettersson was at the beginning of last season? He was like an AHL player until the second half of the season. Miller was the play driver on the team. The offense went through him. Don't act like you know him inside and out

I watched Miller for years. IK exactly who and what he is. The fact you overrate him is ur problem. If u like him that much than keep it.

Well now I know you're just lying. He has always been a hothead. He has always had a bad temper. It hasn't changed one bit. Did you even bother reading that part? Clearly not.

If you really watched Miller, you would know that he was consistently our best offensive player last year. Wasn't even particularly close until Pettersson turned on the jets near the end of the season. Remember the beginning of last season when everybody on the Canucks was struggling? Miller was the one keeping them afloat. I'm not convinced that you watched every single Canucks game

Miller puts up points on a bad team and he’s a hot head. Nobody wants to deal with him at this point.

Clearly teams wanted him last season. The only thing that is different between now and then is that he has a big contract. If teams don't want him, it will be because of his contract, not because of his play.
