Hmmmmm...two years ago I would have said yes, but he doesn't seem to be developing like he should.

Probably say yes though.

laugh That's not even close for both Bo Horvat and Thatcher Demko.

Bo Horvat = Topi Niemela+2023 1st round pick+2024 2nd round pick.

Thatcher Demko > Fraser Minten+Matt Murray+2023 3rd round pick

The bones of the BOS-VAN trade might work at the draft/FA but you ain't getting no 1st.

The 1st stays in Beantown OR it'll be long gone in a Bruins Blockbuster pre-playoff 2023 (i.e.: Clearance sale, all-chips-in-the-middle scenario, get one for the team fossils).

& not Travis Dermott. Sorry Mrs. Dermott...

Reilly > Dermott and Boston can buyout his last year cheaply. They are not using a 1st to move Reilly unless it’s part of large deal with something significant coming back. That’s not it.

Ok VanFan...I know we all want to see a kings ransom for Horvat, but unless we get a desperate **** as a trading partner, it isn't going to happen....as much as I'd love to see it happen.

Can think of three teams (not named Vancouver) that laugh at those trade proposals.

Given where Vancouver and Boston are in the standings, the actual difference between Van's 3rd and Boston's 1st is probably 40ish picks, and Boston needs to dump salary for next year to sign some loser named Pastornackers.

I know so many Vancouver fans don't know there are other teams in the league besides the Leafs. Don't you think if Horvat is traded it should be to a team that needs a centre?
Demko? The Leafs keep the "just as good goalie"

The difference between winning the lottery and picking 8th (VAN) is Connor Bedard...no biggie.

Bo Horvat isn't even the issue here, it's your lowballing on Thatcher Demko i find amusing.

You mean the career .909 SV% (.883 this year) goalie that we as Canuck fans overvalue? That guy? Or are you just undervaluing the career .912 Matt Murray (.916 this year)? Get your stick on the ice!!

If Boston wants Dermott, they can give you a third for him. Then they can get at least a seventh for Reilly. Having given up two seconds (plus last year's first) in the Lindholm deal (how good is THAT overpay looking now?), the Bruins won't be dealing either of their next two firsts.

Still not sure what you're talking about with the Connor Bedard lottery pick. The Bruins will pick outside the top 25, pretty sure Bedard won't fall that far. He might fall to 20th if he loses a leg or an arm though.

LOL Well yeah Toronto is a far superior team compared to Vancouver, Hence why Murray is putting up good numbers. Too bad he can't stay healthy for a long period. Plus he's not waiving for that organization anyways.

Boston isn't getting a 7th for Reilly without giving up something else to get out of his $3,000,000 cap hit next year ($4,000,000 in real cash). Do some homework before commenting!

Now there is a possibility. He may not waive to come to Vancouver, that is an entire possibility...although, what do we know right? Regarding Toronto being better than Vancouver, you're correct as well, but this is save percentage. It's a percentage of how many shots the goalie saves. Bad team vs good team, the goalie gets rated only on shots, not GAA. If you want to argue that Demko faces more scoring chances on these shots, that might make sense. It just takes more homework than what you've done. Hit the books buddy!

The B's 1st won't be around for a TDL meh move ^ ^.
It'll stay in-house or have been traded @/pre-2023-TDL for a playoff run.

Mike Rielly is buried now (playoff add for BOS when rosters expand) & can likely stay that way or be moved off-season.
Off-season: Pretty sure moving MR expiring contract for chump-change to all those 2023-24 low-CAP-clubs needing to get to the xtra-floor will be easy peasy...

There's this thing called "retention" . . . you should do some homework and find out about it.

Anaheim is a quite possible destination for Reilly if the Ducks manage to move Klingberg and Shattenkirk, especially for $2 million. (That's "retention.")

Fact of the matter is, M Rielly is still serviceable (#5 thru #7 & PP2).
He's just lost in the LD staff depth on BOS of HL, MG, DF, JZ - then it's MR.

I mean Tampa is struggling to develop Cal Foote. I don't see him breaking out if ever, but it could just be me being impatient.

Or it could be he slow AF on a fast team
