$8.75 million cap out, over $12 million cap in, San Jose gives up a good prospect and term on the skaters . . . I'm with @sleeparc

Horrible trade for San Jose, that would not even be considered. What makes you honestly think they would even consider something close to that? I would want multiple 1sts just to take on Campbell

Listen, The sharks receive a forward with top 6 potential (if not still serviceable top 9), A solid defenseman to replace Erik Karlsson after we trade him, and a goalie who has had an awful season but can bounce back, also with a third. They give up 2 bottom 6 forwards, a defenseman in Merkley with no value and who wants out, Kakkonen who is worse than Campbell, (2.5 less on the cap and Campbell having a longer term is rough, but that's why the third is there.) Ferraro is the only one with real value and he has looked awful this year. Realistically should add a second coming from Edmonton in this but I think its close.
