A pending UFA, An overvalued prospect and a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Doesn't get Ryan O'Reilly at 50% retained.

Talk about a worthless Jakob Chychrun trade, Outside of Niemela and the 1st round pick it's basically garbage.

Chycrun trade is just unnecessary .
As far as ROR, I think if exchange the two picks for a 2023 1st - you’re close. It will be interesting to see what the market will be at tdl. I tend to think it’ll be a buyer’s market - lots of good players made available with not that many buying teams at the high end - only ~ 8-10 real contenders imo. And a few of those may prioritize d over forwards.

ROR is one of the top deadline targets regardless of injury. Remove those picks and add a 2023 1st instead.

I love ROR but he is not worth that. It's probably going to be similar to Manson's deal and maybe another 3rd on top to sweeten it. There are just too many options and such little amount of 1rsts and even smaller amount of teams that will be willing to spend that 1rst... let alone that teams second best/best prospect on top of that
