Demko would be traded for a steep discount right now. UPL is playing better than Demko now, the Sabres are not interested in that trade, and they're not interested in moving Levi in any capacity. Those lines aren't close either

Why would they accept? Levi is a great prospect, but Demko was a top 5-10 goalie the last two seasons before this year. 15 bad games behind a terrible defense and while dealing with an injury doesn’t change that

Demko may have hit the wall & be declining
Maybe not, but still a risk with how poorly he’s played this season- and he’s not getting younger

Levi is a top goalie prospect & we have UPL, who is another good young goalie that’s currently playing better than Demko

Also, if Demko is hurt to the point where he supposedly needs to sit out this season (according to your fellow VAN fan),
why would the Sabres want to trade for him now??
