Pretty sure Peeke has been a healthy scratch on one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Definitely worth a 1st and is a top pair defender on a top 3 defensive team eh?

If Toronto reaches the Conference finals, those two draft picks would be no more than three or four picks apart.

Take out the second and Columbus might talk to you. They're pretty high on Peeke, which is why they re-signed him.

The Jackets would decline even if the 2nd wasn't included. They would probably be more inclined to trade Boquist than Peeke.

I would love Laughton on this team, but that offer is way too low. To me, he's worth Nicky Bobby straight swap.

Huge UNDERpay for Peeke. HUGE. Did you miss the Columbus second? That pick will be no worse than #35.

If Toronto, Tampa or Boston makes the Conference finals (a parlay that's a gigantic odds-on favorite), the Toronto first-round pick is almost certain to be no worse than #26 (because most Western Conference teams won't have regular-season records as good). If the Maple Leaf make the Conference finals, Toronto's pick would be #29 or #30. If the Maple Leafs make the Stanley Cup finals, that pick would be #31 or 32. So it's quite possible that Toronto's pick would be three or four picks apart, especially if Columbus ends up with the worst record in the League. The difference between the picks plus two prospects do not equal Andrew Peeke's value in this or any other universe.

It's not a take if it resulted from inadvertence. I admire you for getting back to us to admit that you'd awakened.
