No it's definitely terrible. There is literally nothing of value. Foote maybe is worth a 2nd.
These are the values I see.
Bo 1st, prospect, 3rd
Kuzemenko 1st maybe small add
Schenn 3rd (could even be a 2nd)
I would not argue with any of those prices. But the difference here is you are getting players instead of picks. If one were to price out each piece individually,
Colten = late 1st
Foote = 2nd
Duke = 3rd
Namestnikov = 4th
Thompson = 4th
Then, if you made some simple assumptions…
2nd + 3rd + 3rd = late 1st
4th + 4th = 3rd
Then it is not hard to come up with this….
Horvat = Colton / Foote / 2nd = late 1st, 2nd, 2nd
Kuzmenko = Duke / 2nd / 3rd = late 1st
Schenn = Namestnikov / Thompson = 3rd
Vancouver can easily say we don’t want sum-of-parts value here and ask for fewer, bigger pieces in return.
But to say there is nothing of value would be inaccurate.
