What About The Islanders

The acquisition of Borvat suggests they are going for it. The cost suggests they could/should extend Horvat who supposedly wants 9 mill a year. They have some bad contracts... maybe something like this?

Isles management have sorta boxed themselves ink by obtaining Horvat and giving up two good assets. 9m X 8 Horvat....just because "he wants it". Is that good long term value for a guy who having a career year? I dunno.

Lou had better plan on adding a lot more than just Horvat if he plans on going for it. Adding Horvat alone doesn't guarantee the isle of making the playoffs. He needs at least two more solid players.

Just drop the pick and Finley and make it Bailey for Future Considerations.

Hawk decline. Counter w/ Bailey and Isles 2024 3rd for future considerations. No way are the Hawks giving up a pick to acquire Bailey.

Lou has been doing this for years with multiple teams. For a team that has no prospect pool and is likely missing the playoffs, this is a really stupid move to make.
