I wouldn't exactly like it, but I could see a Toews trade ending up like this.

Why are the Sharks doing this? What value does Greenway have for them? They're pretty happy with Bara.

Goligoski doesn't return a 3rd - not even close, I'm afraid.

Barabanov has 25 more points and 500k less on his caphit than Greenway. How is this even close? You should be adding a 1st and a 2nd to this

So the sharks trade a player who is on a 50 point pace and is cheaper for a more expensive player on a longer contract with 6 points? And they move up 1 round for that? Haha no

Barabanov is also 3 years older and MUCH worse defensively. Greenway is having a down year offensively, but he still is going to have value to a lot of teams and him and David Quinn are extremely close, so if there is anyone that is going to think they make Greenway reach his offensive potential it will be Quinn.

To the Flyers Seeler is worth more than a 5th rounder. Value contract, plus player and added a few points. Has played a solid game this year.

Again, regardless of "who's better" why would the Sharks do this? Why would they want a non-productive winger in their late 20s when they want as many future assets as possible.
I'll also take Barabanov 100 times out of 100 over Greenway, especially with his cap hit.

Because Greenway is a 6'6" 25 y/o Winger with 5 years of NHL experience and he plays strong defensively. He's also shown the ability to score in the past. At 3 mil AAV Greenway's contract is pretty reasonable and he could help out a rebuilding team a ton. But I guess we can agree to disagree because when you say that Barabanov is worth Greenway, a 1st and a 2nd you clearly overvalue your favorite teams players and there will be no convincing you

I thought it was obvious the 1st and 2nd was a sarcastic overstatement. But no, depth grinders would not be a huge value to a rebuilding team, especially one that has about 12 of them like the Sharks.

What does Greenway not have that Bara does for the Wild?
