Canucks pass. A big reason we want to move Boeser is to create cap space, and this doesn’t do that

Wild can’t do the trade without future cap relief either. Not sure how Boeser is still being linked to Minnesota with all these articles out there.

If only there was a website that tracked every teams cap hits, including dead money, and allowed people to explicitly see why it very clearly doesn't work.

Depending on the retention the Wild can afford Boeser over the next couple of season -- this scenario works cap wise and resigns the necessary players that are RFAs. Only player that it doesn't who probably does get resigned is Freddy G.

Not with only $9.3M in available capspace to sign 8 players/utilize ELC's to fill in those roster spots.

Even half-retained Boeser still costs $3.32M, which leaves Minnesota with $5.97M in available cap space left to sign/utilize 7 roster spots.

So unless a corresponding trade of comparable cap hit gets moved out, they don't have the room unless they're willing sacrifice team depth.

Yes, I saw that athletic article today and Boeser wouldn't need to be at 50% to make it work. Look at the long term outlook, it works for next year as long as Goose and Greenway are a part of the deal. IMHO it would also be best to trade Hartman for maybe a 1st and replace with a rookie deal or cheap vet at like $1M.
