Value isn't the problem, but Larkin isn't available. He will never wear another sweater than the winged wheel in his NHL career.

I don't think it makes a ton of sense for the Devils to play the deadline price for a top-6 center just to put him on the wing - if they're looking for a top-6 winger upgrade, why not just focus on guys like Tarasenko that would cost a slightly lesser package?

I thought Larkin had some playing time at wing already, no?

If Larkin moves, it will be John Tavares-style, and he’ll head home to….., um, Detroit.

In his first couple of years they moved him between wing and center. Kind of like Mercer, I suppose. But it’s not like NJD has “lines” though.
