Woah, you're offering Broberg? And a 2nd? I like Walman but I think Yzerman would have to take that. Kenny owes us for drafting Zadina over Hughes and Dobson. 😉

Detroit would have to take that. In all honesty, that trade is lopsided in Detroit's favor and I both want us to keep Walman and think he's great.

There may be a team that takes Foegele for free, but it won't be the Hawks. Need to add "could be any team" to that move

I'm not sure. By a lot of what I've seen, Broberg hasn't impressed. Walman finally got his chance and gets better all the time. He is really mobile, good defensively, has a good shot, and he moves the puck well. He is showing confidence, which he never had a chance to show with St Louis. There is a reason Yzerman targeted Walman at the deadline, and gushed about "Jake" at the presser when he was acquired (about as much as Yzerman can gush...). I see Walman as a late bloomer.

I love Walman and want him to extend, let me be perfectly clear about that. With that said, Broberg is still young, could still be a late bloomer as well and call it recency bias, but Broberg looked really good against Detroit the other night. Considering Walman is a pending UFA, it'd be REALLY hard to turn that down.
