Draft picks:
11 (DET 1st) - Ryan Leonard - Physical, Goal-Scorer type player that we could definitely use on the team for a long time.
23 (VGK 1st) - David Reinbacher - you can never have too many defensive prospects!
40 (STL 2nd) - Daniil But - big, physical power forward
43 (DET 2nd) - Will Whitelaw - The wings always seem to pick up a non-NTDP USHL guy every draft in the 2nd/3rd, Whitelaw seems like the guy in that situation, a very skilled forward.
60 (NJD 2nd) - Tom Willander - may not fall but we could definitely trade up for him, and the wings LOOVEE the Rogle BK system, and how they develop young players, for example, sending Seider and Wallinder to Rogle, and drafting Kasper from them as well. Willander seems like a prototypical wings draft pick.

That is an INSANE price for a guy who went through waivers....Devils decline easily. You would be lucky to move him as if you'd buy him out otherwise. Why is Tatar a cap dump exactly????

If that's the best we get for Olli Maatta, We keep him and re-sign him.

FYI Nolan Patrick is out for the season with concussion and migraine. He's probably done. Similar situation as Johan Franzn.

All four of those NTDP forwards could be gone by #11. Reinbacher was top-10 in last list I saw. And some have But and Willander as 1st rounders.

Solid crop there.

Also, Tatar has been playing well and would not be a cap dump. Zetterlund for retained Vrana alone would be a tough call to make for NJD.

Not to mention all the off ice problems he's faced, something is wrong with this guy, if he doesnt get it sorted out soon he could very well find himself out of the league soon

Needless to say the Devils wouldn't touch that trade

Yeah I think I forgot about how Tatar has played, and the devils cap situation lol, my bad, the trade is brutal. I think I just saw Tatars name and thought “oh yeah we could get him” and didn’t think about it afterward

You could argue Tatar has been more valuable than Bertuzzi this year, and has been healthy.
