ooof, 22+mil on LTIR.

I dont know if VGS should move picks, because if those injuries dont clear and players come back 100%, VGS either misses the playoffs or is eliminated easily.

it’s funny because for all the “vegas is going to miss the playoffs” they’re literally in first in the pacific. i’d take them over LA or the wild in a series. margin for error is slim but they’ve kept a good pace even with guys out.

-Adin Hill's been perfectly cromulent backing up Logan Thompson - .909 SV%, 2.58 GAA. Reimer's admittedly playing behind a worse team, but .895 and 3.31 are significant steps down. Why not roll with what you have in net instead of giving up a pick and wasting cap/roster space on carrying 3 goalies?

-Detroit fans will hate this but I honestly don't know who would pay much more for Bert (especially without retention) - he's got 2 goals and 6 points in 19 GP. I'll concede that the injuries have been fluky so you can't really ding him for missing time, but what's the reasoning behind his complete lack of production?

To be fair, $9M of that is planned LTIR with Weber & Patrick, and Lehner's likely to come back next year (though who knows how much his surgery will affect him going forward.)

If Vegas is dealing Brossoit, I would think they'd move him for something other than a goaltender. Hills been a pretty decent back for the pricetag and Vegas could use those picks for other assorted depth that they'd need more than Reimer.

With Thompson's injury, I don't think they trade Brossoit though.

Oh yes, I agree, but the injuries to Stone, Thomson, etc... are so worrying, that theres plenty of time for the wheels to fall off and I am not sold on that LW at all.
Super unlikely that they miss, but we'll see over the next 10 or so games before TDL, what this team is without those guys, and losing those picks isnt the worry, its the amount of upgrade you're getting from those 2 guys, which I think is pretty minimal.

Nope Yzerman will want the 2nd round pick to be 2023, And since you don't have one. You'd need to offer up a better piece/prospect.
