Flyers Offseason

Team: 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 11, 2023
Published: Feb. 11, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I believe the Flyers should trade or buyout Hayes' contract in order to open cap space to take contracts from other teams trying to off load. For Provorov, he needs a change of scenery and I have seen many people moving Provy to Toronto. For Felix I think he just needs to get sent out to help another team mainly in the West. The Flyers need to be sellers and be willing to eat cap for futures. Additionally, I believe one of Hart or Errson could be moved at the deadline next Season (2023-2024 Season). Maier is playing for the Reading Royals currently, affiliate of the Flyers and Phantoms.

Should have been kicked off the team in my opinion. It's 2023, you just can't stand against Pride stuff, for any reason.

Then how do you feel bout the rangers? The entire organization decided last minute to not wear the pride night jersey's during warmups?

It goes against his beliefs. People want tolerance for the LGBTQ community but don't want to provide religious tolerance. It's amazing

Doesn't matter what your beliefs are, it's discrimination. You want to privately be against the LGBTQ community that's fine, but if you do it in public, you are in the wrong. It's just not at all debatable. Hiding behind religion to be discriminative doesn't give you a free pass.

I am not aware of the rangers cancelling anything, I highly doubt it wouldn't have made the headlines if they did.

Well if you weren't aware of the rangers then u just don't pay attention. Look into it.

And under your logic it's not in the wrong to make/force someone to go against their beliefs? Provy said he has no matter with people being true to themselves as long as he can stay true to himself. It's not like he spoke out against them. He simply didn't partake in a warmup and put on a pride night jersey. That didn't hurt anyone or their cause. He was completely respectful about it and handled it very professionally.

If your "beliefs" are discriminative, get new ones. There is no excuse for being discriminative. Some people are gay, who cares. Them being gay doesn't do anything to you or anyone else. It's not a choice, it's just who they are. End of debate. Most of us got on board with this in the 90's. 30 years later and some dummies want to argue it still.

There is not respectful about what Provorov did, he took a public stance against the LGBTQ community. That isn't respectful. He deserves to be called out and the fact the flyers let him do it and then their coach supported him (not at all surprised there, Torts is a clown). It was just disappointing and anyone who says otherwise needs to check their own "beliefs", because supporting discrimination is wrong.

Hate isn't the right word, you don't answer hate with more hate if you want a better world. However, it's certainly disappointing and sure is helping the hockey world go backwards.

Yeah Rags did it for fear of the same. They had a whole jersey signing and charity thing setup and canned it after Philly event
