Barrie has been our best d-man this year. I really don't how guys like Gavrikov and Edmundson go for 1sts but Barrie (who has been playing better than both) is a cap dump. It really makes no sense to me

Carl Grundstrom is about as productive as Warren Foegele, is 18 months younger, is under team control for twice as long, and costs half as much. Why would we exchange them in return for a couple of dart throws, including one that's over the horizon?

If Barrie wasn't playing on the power play -- like Edmundson for instance -- he would have 4 goals and 8 assists.

Some players are fantastic to carry a team during the season but become muted during the playoffs (ex: Tomas Tatar). Edmundson is a playoffs beast.

Canucks pass easily

Oilers pass. That's an overpay for Garland, who's not worth the salary. Also think there's no chance LA and Edm make a trade while they're battling for a playoff spot in the same division.

Perception. Its a thing. The crazy thing is people here deny the reality of it. When scouts say that they value Gavrikov and Edmundson highly, users here dismiss it. That is what is really crazy.
