You do not know what Knies is capable of doing at NHL level. I would love to see him in the top 6 with this core and for the next years but rather have a proven power forward like Meier for this run. Toronto would have needed him at the 2019 draft. Dubas could benefit at the trade deadline from his reputation and potential. Maybe he scores lights out and will become a better Meier. Nobody knows. So I guess Leisen1104 wants to give him a shot to get out of the 1st round. Nobody wants to create an ACGM to want them to fail, right? So I don't understand the (rhetorical) question.

Knies is becoming the most overrated prospect, did you know both montreal and Ottawa have better performing wingers in the ncaa picked in the 4th round ? Yet no one talks about them stepping directly into a top 6 NHL role, no-one can do it ... if you think knies can step in into a top 6 role you are delusional... btw same thing happened a couple years back when Robertson was supposed to be the next big thing and better than caufield, he wasnt ready for the NHL, he wasn't ready for a top 6 role and he wasn't ready for playoffs hockey

Robertson still is not ready. His development and NHL history is just sad due to different circumstances. So please don't compare apples with frogs. Speaking of Caufield: guess that was delusional when he stepped in... IMO it will not happen with Knies natural but I am thrilled to see what he is capable of. No more no less.

Last night was a fluke. No chance you get that Boone Jenner consistently. Best to just not even think about that guy as a trade option as he'd just be a total disaster if the Leafs even thought about trading for him. Yep, best to just walk away and think about other options.

Why would you even want a player from a garbage team?

If it doesnt work you put Jenenr on 2LW and move Kampf back to 3C.
