Ottawa accepts.

Colton Parayko does not.

Blues say hell no to the Ottawa deal. I also think the Blues will push for a 2023 first instead of a 2024 first in the ROR deal, especially if they are dealing him to a divisional rival

Can't have 3 average at best defenders making 6.5 AAV for several more years and expect to contend. Obviously nobody is dealing for Krug, and Faulk is solid albeit a higher AAV than most would like..which leaves Parayko.

There must be a cringe feeling to look @ your top 4 D and having no control over trading any of them.

I know M-NTC are very common for top 4 D, and top 6 FWDs... but at least the 10 team lists etc give the team SOME flexibility. Full NTC is ROUGH!

100%. They make sense for the right player(s) on both offense and defense. But my God when players like Leddy have a full NTC you are setting yourself up for failure...

A 1st plus seems pretty steep from Winnipeg to get ROR to play 3C and I don't like him on the wing in the top 6. Not that the Blues may get that for ROR, I just wouldn't like it for the Jets.

Unfortunately, Blues would look at a different way to trade Parayko
