Description
This is not to cause a pissin’ match ….if you don’t like the trade we can tweak it 😀

I’ve done something fun with Kravtsov, I’ve traded him to every team looking to see what they could get for him. Most of these would be either team kicking in a draft pick. But the idea is looking to get an RFA like he is, at least, for him. Meaning don’t want picks. The value isn’t there I get it, but Drury can wait it out and not sell him for peanuts. Kravtsov needs this trade more than the NYR do, which for some reason Kravtsov doesn’t realize, and is only hurting himself with every trade request because he is just stagnant in his NHL career. Maybe he finally agrees to Hartford to build up some value idk

But you identified it yourself, he's hurting himself and by extension his trade value. So waiting it out doesn't actually help drury, it hurts him.

He's got 48 games to his name and 5 goals. Every RFA you've identified either already plays a regular role, or is being groomed for one. Those teams trading those players for Kravtsov would be like the magic beans paradox, except instead of magic beans, it's stale pinto beans that are from Russia (for some reason).

I did say they’d add a pick if need be. Good reading 👍🏻

A lot of these, while I like them and think they could be interesting... i cant help but think that we would run into the same issue that we did with Krav. Some of the players who either did or do have huge ceilings of potential wont get that playing on the bottom 6. Kind of a wash in my book. at this Point feel it should either be a Krav for a high second or low 1st. something around the Nils trade.

I honestly don’t think Drury is waiting it out…. I think every other GM has 0 interest or very little. As a NYR fan who always wanted him to work out, beat the dead horse of he’s young and developing. He’s not.. when he plays, he can skate, but during play it’s just hot potato for the guy. The second he gets the puck he releases it. He doesn’t belong in North America, he’s a middle 6 in Europe and that’s his ceiling. He was drafted 2-3 rounds too high because of a good stretch of play leading into the draft and a GM took a big gamble on him. If there was any potential he would be playing 95% of the games and producing. It’s unfortunate but if Drury manages to get more than a 5th for him then it’s a massive W.

I've been hoping the Rangers take a look at Mark Kastelic in Ottawa. Young defensively responsible 4C that wins face-offs and is already under contract for the next 2 years. But his ceiling is not as high as Krav's, so it's still potentially an upgrade for Ottawa. I'd love something like Kravtsov and a 4th for Kastelic and Motte (or Brassard) with whatever retention is necessary.

EDIT: Plus he's waivers exempt so the Rangers could try him out in the big leagues this year and still send him down to Hartford if they feel he's not ready. I would pencil him in to be the team's 4C next year though.

EDIT2: Plus Kastelic is a nepo baby so GG/Drury would actually play him

You are asking them to purposely downgrade for a pick. Unless that pick is a 1st it's not worth even talking.

Thats not a bad one, Kastelic. I just really want a body useful in the NHL. Playoff depth. It’s a loss already, just get something we can use now imo
