He means remove the first from MIN. Mayfield they can't resign. Hartman is on a good team friendly contract and Addison will potentially be around 1.7 for two three years to resign and Danila Yurov is a 2022 first round pick. well yeah, but on the surface it looks to make sense but once you dig a bit it doesn't. Goligoski will be serviceable once they go through their self-inflicted cap hell, Addison too.
Dumba is a loss unless they can find away to move him. Greenway is pricy but useful (for now) because of solid defensive play. If they need to shake of Greenway too they could try to do that in the off-season, like a 2nd round pick and prospect (if it comes to that)

I like Nelson a lot, I can even see a potential fit (and yes cap retention is costly) but this move doesn't really solve anything for MIN, creates roster wholes that needs to be fixed.
losing two Rd defense men wouldn't be a good thing for MIN.

For me smoke needs to clear, and look at what they can lose and can't lose. Throwing away 2022 first round picks and this years round pick is not the solution.
