It’s horrible for boston. They downgrade at both positions they address. Significantly. There is zero upside here.

Craig Smith should cost at least a 3rd to dump. Buffalo should get involved just to add depth through those means if unwilling to spend to improve. They still have a decent shot at the playoffs. However, they'd likely play BOS, so you want to make them pay.

Sabres trade yes although it's probably not enough. Columbus trade, no. Nosek will return so this team isn't cap compliant.

Isles would gladly take Craig smith. Solid third-line guy that we could actually use since all of our wingers are either hurt or suck. Plus we have a ton of cap space rn

couple of 3rds +Smith for Parise and a late round pick sound enticing?

Monty said his return could be Game 1. They will try to rest him. By then we can be 17 Million over the cap.

Upgrade one of those 3rds to a 2nd and the Isles will consider.

Parise isn't worth a 2nd and I really can't see it costing a 3rd to move Smith. Regardless Lou probably doesn't sell anything else of their squad

Ok I have not seen, or heard much. As I last heard it will be near playoffs because last week, he couldn’t skate

I don’t think the isles would trade Parise for him. The isles desperately need wingers and Parise is probably our second best one after Lee. Although Craig smith would be a cap dump for the bruins in order to get someone like Vladislav Gavrikov, he would not be a cap dump for the isles. We would gladly take him and a 3rd/4th round pick and immediately slot him into our middle-6.
