Two prospects trending more toward suspects and a '24 pick are probably not what the Hawks are looking for in eating 2 million for 2.5 years to hand a contender a great contract on a good player. If the Hawks wanted to move McCabe for a '24 first and ZERO retension, I think they could find a taker. At 2 million per for 2 more years a '23 first plus a nice plus is the starting point.

Hawks decline. No clue why the Av's would get a 3rd from the Hawks, and those two prospects are nothing special.

Slight overpay on Rico imo. Doubtful NAS trades Trenin after just extending him. 'Hawks maybe want more for McCabe and the Avs should decline at what it is. There are cheaper options that can do the job of a bottom pair D.
