I don't think you get Savoie or even Ostlund/Kulich, and Olofsson is only there to help the money work in 23-24

The Sabres have plenty of prospects to offer, and tanking teams usually don't want 28 year olds in return

If Buffalo trades away prospects i hope its to improve defence and defensive depth. Our biggest weakness is goals against and as great a player Meier is he’s a waste of money until D and goaltending greatly improved.
Hope Buffalo stays out of cap crunch until all pieces set
If any good prospects left out of mix next year then more valuable as trade chips

Why? He's the best player on the market and Buffalo has the depth in their farm. Sharks should absolutely be getting top prospects back for Timo. Olof is quite possibly the most one dimensional player in the NHL and has a fairly high cap hit and SJ has zero interest in him. Krebs is not the prospect that the Sharks are looking for either.

I think the best offer the Sabres would put on the table is 23 first, ostlund, mittelstadt, and maybe a 23 second. Doubt it happens before seasons end. Adams is going to give this team every chance to show what they can do, and the most I see at the deadline is a vet defensive d if the cost is right. Hopefully over the summer, the real decisions will get made- if they decide they need to be bigger, rougher, better on d, better in net, better at faceoffs, etc.

Sabres are more likely to be sellers than buyers

Absolutely NOT, Meier is a very good player, he is not one of the elite players in the NHL. If someone says he is elite and we base this off points the Sabres would have 4 elite players based on Meiers point output this season. Meier for Ostlund, Buffalos first and 2nd in 2023 and thats it.
