Does Dubie put a claim in? He'd be an upgrade over Engvall, no?

I would imagine somebody like Arizona would take a shot on him.

Whether they buy or sell, something needs to be done. Waiving Kapanen only opens around 1 million dollars. Not enough. Hextall, at this point, is one of the worst GMs to be put into this position (HE PUT HIMSELF IN IT). Constant inaction and slow execution. This better be one of a few roster moves/trades that happen. Like I said, trades either adding or detracting from the roster.

Think dumoulin might be available for trade if it falls apart even more? Seems like a guy teams would value. Maybe flip him and use those assets to get someone cheaper? I don't love what new management has done. What's the plan? Marino would be perfect right now. Now kappy gone. Boeser potential? Idk what their plan is anymore.

And we're gonna need a warm body after the deadline and with Rico on IR. Seems like we have no reason not to claim him

We had rumored interest in the Bob Murray era and im sure theres still some in our front office that like the player

Carter is pretty much unmovable. Can't be bought out, can't be sent down, nobody would want him, Carter will not accept a trade to any team that happens to have cap space. This is pound for pound the worst contract in the NHL now.

Yeah Jeff Carter used to be a very good player. Speed and hands all day. But he needs to retire. Like right now.

What a swing and a miss by Hextall. Everyone knew this contract was a mistake at the time. Move on from Hextall.

I know Wings fans still think he's a super valuable asset, but it makes sense to me. When both healthy and on the top of their game, Vrana is obviously the better player, but right now he's also the bigger risk.

I know they went to arbitration with him, but they still could have let him walk smh

Vrana is under contract for another season. Why trade him? Apparently he has low value on CFACGM yet the same people saying this never hesitate putting him on their top line LW. But low value...🤭

Do you guys think Steve Yzerman is a complete moron?

No they couldn’t have. They’d have had to take the arbitrators contract. The only way they can walk away is if the arbitrator awards 4.6 million or more. So if the arbitrator would have given Kap a 1 year 4.5 million contract, the pens had to take it
