My thoughts right now...
-We probably aren't a playoff team this season, so...
-If Wolf isn’t ready we have Dreidger (who may be still injured, let me know if he is) so I think it could be a good test
-Pelletier was arguably the best Flame on our latest roadtrip, so he deserves to play above the dissapointing Huberdeau
-The LA deal is probably unrealistic, but Pheonix Copley is not a playoff starter, and maybe neither is Markstrom this season, but a fresh start could help...maybe taking off Kaliyev and Ruzicka makes it more possible...
-14 million for the off-season

Kings wont trade for Markstrom unless Petersen is included

I'd consider Petersen for Markstrom 1-for-1 considering both are having poor years. Markstrom's contract is an extra year and an extra $1M in cap hit. It's also not buyout friendly like Petersen's.

I think that more than covers any potential skill disparity.

I can see us trading for Markstrom, but not those pieces . . . Kaliyev is the gunner we've always wanted, and we won't be trading local boy and fan favorite Trevor Moore, who is one of our trading success stories. In an intra-divisional trade, we're not likely to be trading current NHLers unless they're goalies.
