Why would Drouin waive for 20 games in Chicago prior to free agency?

I could see CHI signing him cheap like Domi or Athanasiou to try to resurrect his career, but not giving up anything to get him.

first trade is just dumb,
second is just weird, for me Vancouver could get a lot more for those 2 but Barron+first with 2 ok vet seem not that bad
third, Chicago is not looking for player, why would they take him? but value (6 round is fair for Drouin)

Canucks decline. The reason they want to move guys like Boeser and Garland is to clear cap space. Allvin hangs up the second you mention Josh Anderson, unless he’s coming with Montreal and Florida’s 2023 1st for future considerations. He may have value to some teams, but Vancouver is not one of them, he’s a major negative asset to them. Same goes for Allen and Edmundson, no real value to Vancouver.

You may want to delete this before it gets too nasty

The Yotes are never going to do anything remotely close to that

Neither side is doing the Vancouver trade, too much for the Habs to give up when we still wouldn't be a playoff team and not the right package of players for the Canucks

Drouin trade is just a big why from both sides, both teams are rebuilding and the pick is not even worth the time for the phone call.

As much as I’d love the Florida first, can’t be taking back Anderson to Vancouver. Huge L if they do that
