If Habs get a 1st, I will be surprised. A healthy Edmundson no problem but it’s no secret his back is an issue.

There would be conditions on it, definitely. I dont know why they'd even trade him this week unless they knew it was a major problem and a team wasnt doing their due diligence. Just trade him next TDL for a bigger return. But he's practicing in full and they held him out last night for precautions.

The emergence of Kaiden Guhle has made Edmundson available. Matheson, Guhle & Wifi on left side will be good. Then add Harris & Hudson.

i would too, in this scenario habs are taking back dumoulin as a dump so the price gets increased from whatever edmundson's value is (i assume a second or a third if hes healthy?) to a first + the extra low round picks

They have a ton on the left side. I agree to move guys out. They should even try getting a return on a puck mover like the Wings did with Hronek. Harris, Struble would be guys i'd parlay for a RHD

could also wait until the draft and get a RD with the panthers pick.. ASP, reinbacher, dragicevic are all good options
there's a logjam of bottom-end talent though in the entire system

Not sure if it will be next year or the following year but here are my 7 D, say season 2024-2025, so in two years:

Matheson-Savard
Guhle-Barron (D partners at world juniors)
Wifi-Mailloux

If Mailloux plays similar to the way he’s playing in the OHL, I would trade Savard and move Mailloux into top 4.

Now Hudson to me is the wild card. If he can do at NHL level what he is doing at NCAA, then Montreal has their puck mover of the future.

There would have to be a 2nd or 3rd involved to get the Canucks to eat that much salary for the next 2 seasons on Boeser, otherwise this looks good

If they trade POJ to replace him with Edmundson(with that package) I'm becoming a fan of any other team
