That’s definitely fair. Devils definitely wouldn’t offer Nemec or Mercer though and I feel like if they move Casey or Holtz there would be no 1st round pick involved for sure. Maybe Gristyuk could be enough for them to pull the trigger.

If the plan is to go into next season with the same tandem I think that’s a recipe for disaster. Not saying Blackwood will be any better but he’s an inexpensive gamble. My thoughts are on the lines of when the Devils traded for VV last season.

Nashville needs a very high caliber center prospect. We got lots of wing prospects already and askarov is getting better by the game in the AHL so goalie prospects dont do anything for us. Center by far biggest organizational need. Its the thing the organization has lacked from day 1 and the position that was specifically called out by poile and trotz in their presser
