The Jackets don't have a need for more wingers so they're definitely not going to trade that LA 1st for an expiring UFA winger.

Comrie isn't serviceable at the NHL level, yet is paid better than Stolarz, so that's cap dump.

Joker fills a hole but not necessarily a need, so we're not real interested in him, were too heavy on puck movers as it is, we need shutdown guys like Benoit.

Leaving us with trading Gibson for a dump, swapping a defenseman we need for one we don't, all to move up ~30 spots in next year's draft.

We decline.
