    No. They said yes.

That's a bigger return than they got for Chychrun.

Lol, there is no hope of the Jackets taking on anything to do with Jeff Carter. Even if he's never going to dress for them he's never going to have anything to do with the Jackets again.

Doesn't matter. It's just a contract. There's other teams that will take his contract.

It honestly wasn't a troll. I was just looking at teams that are willing to take on contracts right now.

And Jarmo has zero history of taking on cap dumps (outside of Quick who he traded immediately) and the Jackets have a very notable negative history with Jeff Carter.

meh doesn't really make sense to move Joshua for that unless it's at the deadline and the Canucks are way out of it

Do I really have to spoon-feed and add the disclaimer that I can find other teams to pay off to take a contract? Are you really someone who needs to just argue minutia?

Are you really someone who can't do the simplest of basic research to find a team that would work for your cap dump to avoid getting feedback that tells you why your proposals wouldn't work? When you click publish you're opening up your proposals to discussion. Deal with it.

if a player who is on a 35+ contract retires, his cap hit will only remain in full if it is a multiyear deal, and:

    1. The contract has signing bonuses beyond the first year, OR

    2. The salary is front-loaded in the year-to-year breakdown

Neither of these are true so his contract goes off the books. No need to trade

It's people like you who make posting on here painful. My concept is pretty simple. Use your imagination. You're someone who just needs to argue minutia because you have this inner need to just be right. Go away and bother someone else.

And people like you make it a pain to be a Jackets fan here because you just use them as a placeholder because you're too lazy to do any research on where to fit your proposals. So I'll gladly comment on your ACGM that you posted publicly for discussion and tell you why the Jackets are a terrible, not thought out destination for Jeff Carter. Use your own imagination next time and come up with proposals that make sense and you won't have people like me telling you why they wouldn't work.

Dude, I made an insignificant paper move for a draft pick. If this is getting you in a tizzy, you seriously need to reevaluate your life.

Hawks might consider if the picks going back to the Pens are removed. I realize Granlund isn't a cap dump, but Hawks aren't going to be trading any asset's for veteran players anytime soon.

His salary was front loaded. He literally does not come off the books. This has been known since he signed his deal.

Yes, it's front loaded. People are still trying to claim it isn't for some reason.

Yeah, read the contract wrong, didn't think the difference would be only 250k so figured when I saw 2 3s they matched up lol

Yah, Ron did everything to protect his boy. Doesn't matter though. The new ownership is rich enough that if the new GM (hopefully that happens very soon) wants to buy out Carter the money isn't an issue.
