Blues aren't interested in trading Hofer unless an absolute stud player is involved so I'm not sure why they'd move him for Vladar

Massive discord in the offseason to a group that was very close knit. Basically changed their entire franchise. Sutter system being very shot volume > shot quality, Calgary pretty much only takes perimeter shots and hopes for rebounds. Questionable lineups (Lucic should have been a permanent healthy scratch months ago for guys like Duehr, Ruzicka, etc). Lack of synergy. Like with any major change that takes time to build, last years core had all played with eachother for years. High stress and demanding coaching wears on the players mentality. Shaky goaltending, like Binnington with the Blues, Markstrom had a lot of really rough games (though his wife was pregnant with their first born until recently so that could explain his sudden improvement).

Overall I think the main thing they need is a coaching change. Sure Calgary has had a lot of coaching changes over the years but that was also an entirely different team. I don't think Sutter is a bad coach, I just think he's lost the room

I knew losing Tkachuk and Gaudreau would hurt but that sucks they couldn't rally around Huberdeau. Sutter definitely isn't a bad coach but don't think the team is built to his style.

No they play his style for sure. The problem is that he's a coach with a shelf life and the team just seems fed up
