Surprised there are no CBJ on here. If you ask Dom, Werenski is one of the worst contracts in the league, and he'd also have Merzlikins, and Gudbranson on there too. For the record, I disagree. They are all slight overpayments, but not bad contracts. Elvis remains to be seen and will depend on if he can bounce back or not.
Right now his is awful, but he has the potential to make that deal a real good value too if he can get it together.

Anderson is useful for the Habs. Maybe we could reduce the contract by a mill, but other than that the contract isn't that bad.

I wouldn't say its great or that he doesn't fit here. He's a very good player that is paid a few million more than he should. At the same time, he's way better than pretty much everyone else on here.

Even if you think Anderson's contract is "bad value", it's nowhere near "worst". He's roughly middle of the pack for that salary range.

Hoffman is below average in his range, but so are players like Kotkaniemi and Coleman. His short term means he's not really the "worst" either.
Don't get me wrong, I would give him away. I would even retain to do it. That's my personal feelings however. Realistically it's just inconsequential. Not hurting Montreal, not helping them.

Gallagher qualifies. No problem there. That money and term for a player that can't stay in the lineup and isn't nearly effective enough to provide even half of that value any more, is one of the worst contracts. (Unless/until he goes on LTIRetirement, in which case it's merely an inconvenience.)
