That's probably an offer Arizona can't refuse.

That's what I'm thinking. In a couple years Holloway should easily replace Crouse for them in the top 6. In my opinion Dylan Holloway might not have the highest ceiling of a top 15 pick, but his floor is quite high

I would sure hope that package would return a much better player!

Why trade Dylan Holloway, Joel Määttä, Kailer Yamamoto, and a 2024 1st round pick for Lawson Crouse, 2024 4th round pick, and a 2025 7th round pick (ARI)? Arizona would say yes to this trade with out hesitation.

Oilers shouldn't be giving up on Holloway. Keep Holloway, the first and then spend 4.3m on a UFA or your RFAS, even it means not QO Yamamoto.

I think it's the Crouse contract that would make Edmonton willing to pay that. The oilers are extremely cash strapped for the foreseeable future. Not very many young top 6 forwards are only making 4 million for the next 4 years

But why add a first?

I love the ambition but I do feel if that's a bit too much for him. I agree with the idea thought but I feel as if Bourgault , Lavoie and a 2nd instead of Holloway and the 1st would be better and smth arizona would still accept

Just figured I'd overpay so Arizona fans wouldn't chew me up, but I forgot that Arizona fans kinda don't exist

I agree that it's too much, but Arizona has no reason to trade Crouse. And the oilers are already super short on right handed wingers, so I prioritized keeping Bourgault and Lavoie for that reason

Nope we exist, sorry to disappoint. Without the 1st the deal wouldn’t be considered, and adding the 1st is where Edmonton balks. This is what we mean every time we say crouse isn’t available. There’s always a combo of assets that can get anyone, but there’s no way to line up the value of what a team would be willing to pay and what we’d expect.

That's why I added the 1st. Seems like an offer the coyotes couldn't resist though. If someone offers a rebuilding team Holloway, Yamamoto, and a 1st for any non-elite player you should probably take it and run.

I think Arizona accepts that, seems fair. Crouse is a good player.
