I would hate this as a Ducks fan but I also think Orlov wants similar to Lindholm’s 8 x $6,500,000 at least

Detroit passes, Not trading Soderblom.

Alex DeBrincat is looking at 8 x $9,000,000 he'll want more in high taxed California,

Philly can get better for Carter Hart.

Man Roy is a really good RHD, probably their best. It's definitely something worth thinking about.

Every single one of these trades is bad for LA.

He is, Just don't want to give up a 21 year old Soderblom for a 28 year old Roy.

I don't blame you, I am very excited about him. I also think we could find someone else to fill that spot for less. But it's a trade to think about.

I mean don't get me wrong i like Roy, he's a Canton, Michigan kid grew up right next to me. Would rather move out another piece not named Elmer Soderbloom though.

Agreed, LHD, which LA could use and maybe some picks.

Yeah I'd take Roy for Elmer, it's hard not to like the big guy but Roy is a perfect fit.

How about this:

To LA: Alex DeBrincat and Roby Jarventie.

To Ottawa: Gabriel Vilardi and Matt Roy.

Vilardi is playing well, the cap between him and DeBrincat isn't 6m in salary, nor should Kings give up so much. Being hard against the cap with likely bonuses to pay....not the wisest plan.

Nah we don't have enough LHD. If we traded like Johannson, the only serviceable or better LHD we'd have are Edvinsson, Wallinder, Walman, Sebrango, Buium, or Maatta.

Hard pass.

He is fine. Overpaid, for sure. If this team were competing, he'd be a problem, but he certainly does a lot of tbe other things right like stick up for team mates. I don't love having him... but he is a good person to help guide the team to the next level, where Chiarot gets off the elevator.

DeBrincat won't get 8 x $9,000,000 with the way he's playing this year. Ontario taxes are only a little bit less than California.

For the DeBrincat trade, I don't think Kupari and Vilardi gets it done. Ottawa would have a hole in the top 6 with that trade.

A fair trade would have to be something like:

To LA: DeBrincat, Joseph & Brannstrom

To Ott: Kempe, Vilardi & Roy

Throw in 3rd - 7th round picks to fully balance it out each way, but that would be a good hockey trade in my opinion.
