I get the impression there is mutual agreement between Bertuzzi and Yzerman that neither want him back in a wings jersey.

Where would you get that idea from? Boston clearly paid a rental price and has no room to sign him. Bertuzzi loved Detroit and Detroit loved Bertuzzi. There is no reason to assume there won't at least be an attempt to re-sign him.

My impression is that Bert wanted 6-7 years and Yzerman didn't, so he'll test the waters. I'm guessing nobody offers him that term without extremely low AAV (think 3-4M), which will drop his ask on term.

Yzerman doesn't like people who stir the pot, and Yzerman has been shopping him for a couple of seasons already.

I'd be very surprised if he goes back

Other than his vaccination status (which doesn't really matter anymore lol), what did he do to "stir the pot". Genuinely curious if you have some mystical insight that the entire Red Wings fanbase has glossed over.

https://thehockeywriters.com/bertuzzi-trade-market-3-possible-landing-spots/

The Detroit Red Wings need to be watched closely this week as we inch closer to the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Although they temporarily removed Tyler Bertuzzi from the trade market, NHL insider Darren Dreger reported last night (Feb. 28) that the Red Wings are listening to offers for him again

You do know what the word "again" means, right?

Friedman and Seravelli know more than you.... so, I'll take their word over yours.

Zadina should be 1 for 1 with Parayko..... the same Zadina who has 5 points in 28 games.. I know Flint has tainted water, but didn't figure everyone in Michigan was drinking it.

Yzerman is a team-first guy, he shipped out attitude players in Tampa who put themselves first (Ie. Drouin, Deangelo, Downie) what makes Bertuzzi so special? is it his ability to have one good season and basically be a 50 point second liner? ooooh fancy.

1. This article is from last month lmfao. This isn't a "historic trade thing".
2. "Elliotte Friedman stated that The Maple Leafs showed interest in Bertuzzi." Damn, what a crazy rumor! Rumor has it, Detroit has interest in McDavid!
3. This was from this season lmfao.
4. Article infers that Larkin was also tradeable? Very credible to me. (Also at the end of LAST SEASON).

Didn't know living in a cold and dark place like Edmonton meant you couldn't understand obvious sarcasm. Comparing Bertuzzi to DeAngelo is interesting to say the least, but go off I guess.

Still, please provide me something or ANYTHING that shows Bertuzzi clashing with Yzerman. PLEASE.

So, a pattern over the past 2-3 years of his name appearing on the trade block, is not a demonstration of him being on the trade block. Can't fix the logic of people who rely on 14 second social media clips for news.

Godspeed little dingus.

"Toronto showed interest in Bertuzzi" from an two years ago. Two of those articles are from this season. One of them is from last season around this time, and it implies that Larkin was tradeable.
Other than THIS season, the only points you have are
A) An article that just states a team had some interest in him
B) An article that stats Detroit would trade literally anybody and anyone (including Larkin) except for Seider and Raymond.

Seems like two very strong points for Bertuzzi being problematic(?) (are you still arguing this? You haven't provided anything).

It has been very well documented this season (from those two same sources that you put oh so much trust in) that Yzerman and Bertuzzi have had contract extension talks, but Yzerman likely wanted a short term and Bertuzzi a long one.

Godspeed, whatever you are.

Listen you can believe or think whatever you want - he has not been trying to trade him for a couple seasons. You're just choosing to believe NHL Network rumors....nonsense.

Throwing money down the drain with these contracts.

What have Lindtröm, Veleno, Chiasson, Newhook, Andersen done to earn those contracts??

So, believe professional insiders or a random wings fan on the internet.

Yeah, I think i'll go with the professional insiders who's reputation and career depend on accuracy... thanks for making what could be possibly construed as a, maybe, a point, not a valid one, or an informed one, but, more of an opinion that you assume i'm supposed to rely upon with no factual evidence.

Thank you though, sincerely smile
