We really need to collectively stop trading for Gibson lol - the poor ANA fans on here. Rust denies the trade anyways.

Carter is a cap dump. And at RD the Kings have: Doughty. Roy, Durzi, Clarke, and Spence.

No fit there.

Fans will always trade for hometown guys. It's why you'll see Miller and Gibson in most of these.
That said, Miller and Gibson work really well for Pit timeline of competitiveness and don't really fit in the timeline for Ana or Van rebuilds.

Oh believe me - I know why they're doing it haha. It's just never going to happen, nor should it - and I feel bad for the ANA fans who have to comment on these Pens posts 20 times a day like "Gibson isn't going to be traded" lol.

I would argue neither of them work well for the Pens. Sure, timeline wise, it may make more sense for the the Pens than ANA or VAN - but actual fit wise there's no reason for the Pens to get either of those players - especially Gibson.

The Kings aren't a place for a cap dump (because they'll be up against the ceiling next season), and the Ducks aren't trading John Gibson even for a 2023 first and an A prospect -- and you guys don't have an A prospect.
