Barclay Goodrow isn't waiving from a potential cup contender in the NYR, For the worst team in the NHL in the San Jose Sharks. Not even remotely happening.

How would you know what he desires?

Dude man, He has a 15 team no trade list, I'm pretty sure a garbage Shark team is one of those 15 teams on his list.

You would have to atleast half retain on Lebanc for that to go down, if he would even waive.

that "garbage" team drafted him, paid him millions, gave a home to his family for years, and went on multiple runs with. It's deeper than you think bud

The ONLY reason Drury would consider trading Goodrow is to free up cap room, so taking back Labanc makes zero sense. In any case, doubtful Goodrow is traded, but if he is, it will be for a better return than this.

correct me if i’m wrong but i think he grew up a rangers fan. im also not opposed to retaining a 1-1.5 mil. he’s an awesome middle 6 winger. has 20 goals and 50 points in him. especially with all ur center depth you have.

value is met. and i think canes are going to go big game hunting this offseason if they don’t reach the cup again. this would free up cap and still get proper value

goodrow has negative value. maybe if it was only 2 years left on the deal. but nobody is gonna take a bottom 6 on a heavenly overpriced deal for 4 years other than a team like the sharks

All three are bad for San Jose.

1. That Goodrow contract is bad and labanc has 1 year left compared to 4 for Goodrow and labancs buyout is very manageable.

2. Simeks buyout is very manageable as well and also only has one year left. Gregor is serviceable bottom 6. Can’t see why San Jose moves the higher pick here.

3. Teravainen has had a very down year (36 points) on a stacked team. Also that devils pick has the ability to become a 1st. No chance San Jose moves a 1st when they aren’t competitive for an aging player with 1 year left on his deal.

Scratch this whole team

Canes decline pretty easily. That's not worth Teravainen. If it was the NJD 1st, maybe. But this just isn't enough.

NYR have their backs against the cap wall, adding 1 M to that for a player like Labanc isn't even on the table regardless of what Goodrow might think or not think. Also regardless if you or anyone thing they should or shouldn't. Goodrow will cost 200K to buyout (next season), worst case scenario.

so many people think a no trade list is just the bottom teams

They should know not to go for pointless bottom six forwards after the so far failing KK experiment so Lindblom is pretty much valueless to them

So wrong. Goodrow is worth every penny he is paid and if Drury decides to move him, he will find plenty of takers. Don't think it will happen anyway.

Mostly due to cap tbh they can't afford anything above $2.5M
