Offer sheeting Swayman is nasty and I love it lol
That said, Comrie would be down in the AHL and one of UPL or Levi will be up.
Hard to not see Savoie on the roster next year. Playing junior against 16 year olds again will do nothing for him.

I just don't see a spot for Savoie. He is not a bottom 6 player but he is not ready for top 6 minutes. I think they loan him to a European team.

That's fair but kinda unprecedented. He could play "middle 6 minutes" between the 3rd and 4th line. Offensive 3Cs are fine.

They would have to either move Casey or not re-sign Jost and have Krebs play 4C to do that. I can't see them taking that risk next season.

The future sure appears to be very bright for the Sabres.
Either Girgensons or Okposo or both will probabley be offered contracts as insurance policies if the young guns are not ready.
Nice to see Kulich in your line up as he is on fire in the AHL with 15 goals in his last 24 games (about the same pace as Quinn last year, but Juri does not turn 19 until the middle of next month).
Savoie could find a spot in the line up by putting Greenway in the press box, dropping Krebs to the fourth line and playing Matt with Casey and Juri.
Finally, let's hope Olofsson will return more than a third!

Rosen looked fine* in his first year in the AHL, I wouldn't exactly say "good", and I don't value him where he was picked. Bryson is worthless in trade, though. At least to CHI he is. I might even go so far to say he has negative value. I did see an offer for Murphy previously that was Rosen and the PHI 2023 2nd round pick. I think that is pretty close, if not right in line with Murphy's trade value.

I dont see the Sabres giving up a first round prospect and a really high second for Murphy. I could see them giving up Philly's second rounder plus a lesser prospect like Kisakov or Nadeau.

I added Bryson just as a body for Chicago next season. If they are rebuilding they are going to need NHL players who can eat minutes while their prospects and picks develop.

I don't see a roster spot for Rosen in the future and the Sabres have a desperate need for a stay at home RD to play with Power.

Even if I buy this premise, you can do way better in terms of value than Murphy. He’s an injury riddled defenseman with mediocre defensive impacts who would likely get crushed playing in a rush heavy system like the one the Sabres have. Just not worth it imo.

Yeah. I figured as much. BUF isn't gonna give up on someone they drafted so high this soon. But from the outside, Rosen isn't valued as highly. There are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks in both BUF and CHI's systems that I would put ahead of him on a depth chart, at this point. But I totally get it. There is still upside there. He could go either way at this point and either pop off or become a bust.

Either way, I think CHI would prefer the pick and the "lesser" prospect over him and no pick. Under Davidson, they seem to be very particular about who they bring into system. Even to the point where there are players he would take over obviously higher talent level players simply because they fit his vision more. Which, a big part of winning is chemistry, compete level, and structure. So, I get why they choose that route in certain cases. It doesn't always make sense to simply get the "best" player.

Sabres are gonna have to play some of there good prospects in the bottom 6, they have a lot coming up. And I would not trade Nadeau for Murphy. He is gonna be a piece this team doesn't have with his physicality and offense. In 2yrs the Sabres should be able to roll 4 really decent lines.
Skinner Tage Tuch
Kulich Cozens Quinn
Mitts Savoie JJ
Nadeau Krebs Rousek, JJ and Kulich can switch if need be.
