Yes, I know. He has not been developing even on the 1st line. A change of scenery would probably help him like it did for Dach. This offer is better than what Chicago accepted for Dach.

He`ll finish the year with probably 24pts in 53 games with 3 goals and you consider this a breakout year. I must be missing something!!!

I mean that would be a Went Wughes Win but do the Canadiens really need another centreman. We have Suzuki and Dach (who are both young), possibly a great C prospect with our 2023 1st rd pick. Im also not going to mention a certain player from Winnipeg we are linked with (will it happen will it not, who knows).

We should be looking at a high end winger prospect instead IMO

The Kings won't accept that btw, Byfield is starting to be a stud

Change the pick to the MTL pick after the draft lottery gives them the win and then maybe LA says yes.

He has 0 pts in his last 4 games. That shows great consistency for a player playing on the 1st line. There is no breakout yet.

A breakout happens when a player consistently puts up points at a minimum of 2 pts per every 3 games with no blackout periods

I`m trading for him because there is potential there, but for people to say he has broken out is ludicrous and on top of that the offer is generous
