Sick of being pushed around

Created by: Wiz
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 25, 2023
Published: Mar. 31, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Add some toughness with Foligno, Schenn, and Bennett. Big bodies with Staal and Graves. Added depth/speed with Bennett, Barb. Limitations of my study:
- Hard to get Staal from Carolina
- May have to upgrade draft pick's for trades (U LMK)
- Schenn and Graves may be looking for more? (U LMK)

I like the idea for Pittsburgh, but Minney and Florida easily say no to these trades.

I hear Burke likes Truculence. Who better than MacDermid? Can be had for the low low price of future considerations.

Well Burke (who is the President, not GM) may like Truculence. But he is terrible at acquiring NHL talent and doesn't make his teams who employ him better. He's been awful at evaluating NHL talent in his last stops as a hockey executive. He talks like he very knowingly to media though.

JT Miller would have been a great fit. Brings toughness and many hits. Puts up a lot of points. He was bad defensively to start the season but he's improved it a lot, and somehow he's had selke votes in previous years. Plus nucks are actively shopping him. Not sure why the deal didn't happen, but maybe something will happen in the summer.

Yea that’s a no from Minnesota. Love granny but too much term. De smith would do better in Minnesota’s defensive structure - but so would almost any goalie.

That pick would need to be a 1st and then some, especially with the term going to them in this deal.
