I doubt Murray garners an asset at all, the injury issues remain although he looked competent when healthy. Looking more like a future considerations deal, and certainly not to Carolina.

Frankly I see Detroit as an option (they are light years from.the cap floor), they need a back up to Husso and I don't see them signing a tender on term out of this class. Hill maybe the lone goalie Yzerman goes term on, and he has injury issues of his own.

Hawks again lol, are an option as well in so far that Murray could be moved at the TDL with retention.

But the Canes? No..... they will be looking for someone different as a real insurance policy.

As much as i hate to say it i feel like management would take a chance on him if they can get him dirt cheap; i don't think they should, but i wouldn't be suprised.

I would say the Canes might take a chance on Murray if they are paid to take him on. That being said, they already have a big enough problem with goalies staying healthy, and Murray has a worse problem of staying healthy than both Freddie and Raanta. The Canes are going to look for a more veteran goalie to help mentor Koochie, but who is still able to take a 1a/b role when needed. Someone like Varlamov would be a much more realistic target. Murray would likely be a worst case scenario option for the Canes, where there are no other options available. That being said, Canes aren’t likely to move anything for Murray

Contending playoffs teams....which are most teams don't want to take on Murray and 4.7m cap, and not knowing if he going to playing or not. There are lots of UFA goalies available this off season
Leafs have a decision by June 15th, and I think it's their only option is to buy out Murray for 687,000 next season.

Pick should be going with Murray, not getting one back for him. Why do leaf fans seem to forget that he was literally a cap dump from Ottawa to begin with? Playing on a good team hasn't changed ****
