This won't get you Brandt Clarke. Not sure there is much out there that would. The Kings got Korpisalo and there are several good UFA goaltenders, what here is worth giving up a defenseman who is crushing the OHL?

Not sure if Hayes would be willing to head to WPG but I wouldn't mind him as a PLD replacement? I'd be willing to give up similar value even if we were able to get him for around $6m AAV ($1 142 857 retained).

Based this more off of previous rumors that they like Provorov a lot

I'd assume he probably wouldn't go there. The fact that they actively traded his UFA rights that far in advance + probably having a stronger desire than a lot of players to stay in the US (I say this namely for family reasons) would lead me to believe it probably isn't a fit

That's fair. FWIW at the point of saying no to an offer like the one I proposed I'd just assume that there's no offer that could make them trade Clarke, but I get why that'd be the case

Los Angeles would only trade Brandt Clarke to get a budding superstar LhD like Luke Hughes or a young potential Vezina Trophy candidate like Filip Gustavsson. Philly has neither.

A top 10 pick putting up stupid numbers in a Jr league in their draft plus 2 year isn't terribly impressive. I realize he's stuck because he's under 20, but hard to put too much stock. He should dominate teenagers

I understand that I have homer bias, but really Hart isn't far off the mark from that at all. Philly has been atrocious defensively all season, and despite that Hart is putting up some of the best GSAx in the entire league. I feel very comfortable saying that his counting stats this season don't even come close to telling the whole picture with him, I'd be willing to bet Gustavssons numbers would look very similar if he were playing in Philly as opposed to a very good Minnesota team

Top-5 in scoring and he's played 50% less games than everyone else in the top-20. I don't even know the last time an OHLer (even overagers) have scored nearly 2 GPG average, like has that happened in the last 20 years from a defenseman?

Besides the wealth of the value in this trade is also futures, so the Kings are still the one giving up the prospect with the highest ceiling.

Why trade for Hart when Korpisalo has proven himself stronger on another team that was also in a rebuilding phase.

Dallas needs fewer defensemen blocking Harley and Lundkvist. Maybe if that trade included or another couple of trades removing Hakanpaa and Suter.

Then why is still on Philly huh? There has been no interest besides insiders saying " oh he played in Brandon in junior it makes sense" like the jets have 4 lhd and provorov has one of the worse surplus value of his contract he just isn't very good if im being honest
