These DeBrincat trades are becoming Vancouver fans trading Tyler Myers to Ottawa level bad. Just completely ignoring what Ottawa would need out of DeBrincat trade, and giving a huge lowball offer to boot

Detroit traded Vrana for what is suspected to be the exact issue that Kuznetsov had, and we let Vrana go for a 7th. so no, Detroit passes on Kuznetsov.

and for Ottawa, Dorion said he's signing Debrincat whether its a 1 year 9 mill or longer deal, so that's not happening either.

Actually Detroit traded Vrana because he needed a fresh start. Vrana and Kuznetsov situations are completely different.

Kuzzy is not worth that much considering his age. Plus, his character (past issues) are a big turn off especially to DET-ACGM, since we all believe Yzerman does not care for troubling players.

Just remember the rule, if you aren't happy with the trade cause you feel like you are giving up too much, that means you are generally close to where you need to be, all these trades favor Washington big time

Caps will have no problem trading Kuzy. Detroit just isn't a good fit.

Cheap? Mantha isn't a cheap contract. He has 2 more years left at 5.7 mil AAV. He's a lazy Floater with no compete level. 27 points in 67 games this season.

Like the assets to get him would be cheap because we want to get rid of him. 5.7 isn’t cheap but for a year with possibility of retention at probably a 3rd at the highest? Not terrible

Some players just don't have that fight in them. If you need a coach to motivate you to play your best then that's embarrassing in my opinion. Some guys just like being paid millions to play in the NHL. They couldn't care less about winning. That's Mantha. Lots of talent and no compete.
