No, Zadina has KHL written all over him after next year while yams is the perfect middle 6 forward.

This would be Hollands worst trade ever lmao

I agree this a no for EDM. But just curious, can a player currently on a NHL contract sign in the KHL?

IMO this is close. But his worst trades were trading Andrei Vasilevskiy pick for Kyle quincy. Also the Eric Cole and David legwand trades were pretty horrible at the time and even worse down the road! Both did little to help and we gave up two good prospects who have been middle 6 players since the trades. Also a pick that turned into roope hintz.

Yes Holland is not the brightest but this trade isn't all that close.

Going back the last 3 years (most relevant sample size since neither of them have come close to replicating those 19-20 runs)

Zadina is at .33 ppg (not very good for a "goal scoring winger")

Yamamoto is at .45 ppg (solid for a middle 6 forward)

Yams is fairly better

In hindsight yea, when you trade a pick you have no idea who the team is going to pick. Although, he did trade away the pick that he knew was going to be used on Jesper wallsdeht( it sure the spelling) so he could draft Xavier Borgoult, Jesper was and presuming still is considered a generational goalie talent
