I don't think Killorn will leave $10M+ on the table to sign that

Man that's quite the haircut for Killorn. Have to think Stevie will offer him 6.

I think Killorn gets at least a 4M AAV, probably closer to 5M.

Good luck there bub, Yzerman will offer him 2 x $6,000,000 to come to Detroit. And show the kids what a real champion is.

Big question does he want to leave the beauty of Davis island using his jet ski's year round to go live in Detroit? Does he want to leave the organization that he braggs he is the longest tenured member of.07 draft. Does he want to leave the best organization in sports? Maybe but if there is one guy who it's not all about the money with it might be Killorn

Let's be realistic NO ONE is giving a 33yr old $10M. But offering Killorn $2.5M would be pretty disrespectful and I'd imagine he would no longer want anything to do with TB. In the last 4 seasons he only missed scoring 25+ goals in the COVID shortened season. So I do think he gets more than he made this season but how much term he gets will play a big factor.

No one lives in Detroit, Detroit has some of the best neighborhoods in the entire Country.

Can you wear short to the morning skate in January? Taxes go up. By the way would you rather live in a really nice area in Tampa where the average day time temp in January is in the upper 60 to low 70's or a really nice area of Detroit. Where you have to shovel your driveway to go somewhere. Like it or not if you work in a heavy crime area "downtown Detroit" it can still come to you. Ask Mitch Marner about getting car jacked in a really nice area of Toronto. Tampa has a very low violent crime rate.

Hey you don't have to convince me, You're talking to a former Metro Detroiter who has lived in Central Florida for nearly 42 years now.

Obviously. It's 10+ over the length of his next contract. He's getting at least $5-6M for 3ish years

I agree $6M x 3 os about right and I think he stays in TB if they are one of the teams offering it.

We're not going to have that money to offer unless the cap gets a decent bump from the players and owners agreeing to smoothing out the expected cap jump after next season. But I'm not counting on it.

I think Colton does around a Paul deal or takes a one or two year knowing the caps getting a good bump after next season.

TB's entire top 6 is players that were drafted by TB along with Hedman and Vasilevskiy. It would be hard to start over with a new team epically at 33.
