It's gonna hurt and people will freak you moved wally or Elmer but it's going to take something like this to get it done. Personally I'd rather try and give up more draft capital, multiple 2nd rounders maybe, instead of Wallinder.

Zero chance of Yzerman trading either Soderblom or Wallinder for DeBrincat, At best Ottawa might get the islander 18th pick plus one of the 40+ 2nd round pick their choice and Cross Hanas. That's the best offer they could hopefully get from us. if it were true that he wants to come home to Detroit. We can just sign him for free in 2024 no sense in giving up major assets for him.

Given that Ottawa is approaching the end of its rebuild I feel that they will be more-interested in high-end prospects than picks at this stage.

I just can't see Cat being traded to Detroit. I'd rather try to trade for Konecny.

Don't need another small and soft wingers. He's also a powerplay specialist which we already have in Perron. And wouldn't trade Soderblom.

Is Soderblom really a deal breaker in adding a 40 goal scorer?

It's honestly hilarious that this is these guys' take. Soda is the most insignificant piece in this deal 😂
