Nashville needs RD prospects bad. A trade like this probably gets you one of Dante Fabbro or Carrier coming back though. We would need to get rid of one of those guys to make this work. I think the deal would need to include one more piece though going to NSH if Fabbro or Carrier went along

Add a 2nd going to Nashville and send one of them back, seems fair

Nemec is 1 year removed from getting drafted #2oa and has 4 years before he hits first RFA.

Not only is it aggressively short sighted but also a terrible overpay, elite goalies with limited term do not carry that type of value.

A package built around Holtz might work for both parties however.

Limited term? He's got 2 more years at a really reasonable hit. Goalies that good and cheap don't go for cheap. You managed to make the playoffs without nemec and a mediocre goalie, you'll manage to go further with saros...

Championship teams require championship calibre goalies, which is nearly impossible to find nowadays. You guys already have a number 1 defenceman and Luke Hughes has only played 2 games in the NHL. Losing Nemec might hurt but you guys don't even really need him. Who you do need is Juuse Saros.
